4 Barely Driven Aston Martin Zagatos Are Now up for Grabs

A quartet of some of the most desirable Aston Martins in recent memory just popped up for sale.

Aston Martin Works, the British marque’s heritage division, currently has three exclusive Vanquish Zagatos and an even rarer DBS GT Zagato listed for sale on its website. The collection consists of four of the finest cars to come out of Gaydon over the last quarter century.

Aston Martin and Zagato have been working together since 1961 when the automaker brought in the Italian coachbuilder to help style the gorgeous DB4 GT. The result was so striking that the pair have continued to team up repeatedly in the years since, including twice over the last decade when they collaborated on the Vanquish Zagato and the DBS GT Zagato. These two partnerships resulted in six distinct models, all of which are currently up for sale except the original Vanquish Zagato Coupe and the DB4 GT Zagato Continuation.

Aston Martin pulled back the curtain on the Vanquish Zagato in 2016. The automaker decided to imbue the at-the-time outgoing Vanquish with some Italian style, which meant widening the front grille, tweaking the lighting package, and adding a bigger rear spoiler. Four versions were produced including the Volante convertible (which appears here in Scorching Black), the Speedster (Ming Blue), the Shooting Brake (Lava Red), and the absent Coupe. Each Vanquish Zagato was a limited-edition model, with only 99 examples of the Volante, Shooting Brake, and Coupe rolling of the line, and only 28 examples of the Speedster. Each of the trio up for sale has barely been driven, with only the Speedster having more than 1,000 miles on the odometer.

Two years later came the DBS GT Zagato which was part of the DBZ Centenary Collection. The set paired the DBS GT Zagato with a matching DB4 GT Zagato Continuation, a faithful recreation of the first collaboration between automaker and coachbuilder. Only 19 examples of the two cars were built, making it the rarest of the cars on offer. The Blue Tourmaline example on sale has 9,638 miles on the odometer, easily making it the most driven car of the bunch.
