No need to turn back time: An open-top Ferrari that once belonged to Cher is now up for grabs.

The Goddess of Pop’s old 1972 Ferrari Dino 246 GTS is currently up for auction on Bring a Trailer. The car’s glitzy provenance isn’t its only noteworthy feature, though. This example remains in excellent condition more than 50 years after the singer parted ways with it.

The Dino 206 GT was Ferrari’s answer to the Porsche 911 and its first model manufactured in anything close to high numbers. Named for founder Enzo Ferrari’s late son, the sports car was also the marque’s first to feature a V-6. The mid-mounted 2.0-liter mill may have been smaller than those in the 12-cylinders in the automaker’s other speed machines, but it was still high-revving and produced a respectable 176 hp. There were still calls for more power, though, thanks to which the more potent Dino 246 GT was introduced in 1969. Its larger V-6 churned out 189 hp, enough to push it to a top speed of 146 mph.

The Dino was offered as both a coupe (the GT) and an open-top spider (GTS), the latter of which Cher opted for when she bought hers from Hollywood Sports Cars in December of 1972, according to Car and Driver. Like Keith Richards, the singer and Sonny & Cher Comedy Hour star was a big fan of the zippy V-6, outfitting it with vanity plates that read “CHERS.” Despite this, she sold the car to race car driver Chris Cord in March of 1974, shortly before her marriage to Sonny Bono broke down.

Cher’s Dino may have passed through the hands of a couple of collectors in the decades since, but it remains in excellent condition. The two-seater has been repainted Rosso Chiaro red and has a Nero black leather interior just like it did when it left the factory. Its V-6 is mated to a five-speed manual transmission, and the odometer shows 65,000 miles, only 500 of which were put on the vehicle by its current owner.

The auction runs through Monday, June 10. As of press time, bidding for the car has already reached $500,000. Don’t be surprised to see that number climb over the next week, though.
