When it comes to bags famously loved by royalty, this chic and compact clutch takes the crown.
The Natasha Clutch by British design house Emmy London is about as royal as it gets—it’s been spotted as Kate Middleton’s plus-one more often than Prince William (joking).
No, but truly: there’s no finer endorsement than that of a princess—especially one as sartorially spot-on as Kate.
The embodiment of impeccable style and flawless etiquette, the Princess of Wales never puts a foot wrong. And rather often, those feet are dressed in Emmy London shoes, too. Safe to say, the picture-perfect princess is on to something with this brand.
So naturally, I had to get my hands on the Natasha Clutch in Blush Suede to see for myself if it’s worth the (royal) hype.

Unboxing the clutch puts a bow (literally) on my day
The shiny-new-thing feel begins as soon as your delivery arrives.
As someone who’s opened more than my share of bags, this one felt different. It felt like a gift—From: Me To: Me.
Nestled within an Emmy London dust bag, beautifully wrapped in Emmy London-branded paper, the package arrives with a literal bow (Bow down to the power of self-gifting 🤩).
The packaging was so pristine I almost didn’t want to open it.
However, temptation got the better of me, and I carefully untied the bow, unwrapped the package, and voila: a gorgeous, velvety scent and the softness of fine suede emerged to greet me. As I ran my fingers over the smooth surface, I could immediately feel the quality of the craftsmanship.
Unboxing: we have a perfect ten.
Materials & craftsmanship: Smooth, sumptuous and sustainable
Emmy London is known for its outstanding attention to detail, and it shows with the Natasha Clutch. Handcrafted in Porto, Portugal—a city celebrated for its rich artisanship—every stitch on this clutch is positively immaculate.
You can snap it up in two finishes: classic leather, and leather’s luxurious, softer twin—suede. I went for the latter (hey, I’m in my soft-girl era). So, mine has a 100% suede body and a 100% suede lining to seal the deal. And it’s not just any suede. The clutch is crafted from the finest Italian kid suede, tanned using traditional methods to make those colors pop, while retaining that supple texture we expect from premium suede.
While I’ll never (ever) knock leather, suede offers a satisfyingly silky touch that’s second-to-none on the luxe scale. Honestly, there’s nothing quite like smoothing your hands over the suede to fully appreciate its softness.
As if the high-class aesthetic and buttery softness weren’t enough, Emmy London also boasts Positive Luxury’s official Butterfly Mark Certification. Yes, my new bag isn’t only an asset to my accessories collection—it’s contributing to positive change for the planet, too.
Aesthetic & design: Clutching onto timeless style
In terms of design, the Natasha Clutch doesn’t try to be anything. It’s effortless, elegant, and timeless. Designed with a classic envelope-style silhouette, the structured bag emanates understated chic and tasteful style. And, true to Emmy London style, the magic is in the details.
Stunning from the outside-in, the clutch opens to reveal a soft, misty pink suede lining and pretty (not to mention, practical) zip pocket. I adore the extra touch on the inside pocket zipper, too: a dainty charm finished with an encrusted diamond—nodding to the bejeweled soles of my Emmy London shoes.
A glimmering brand label is sewn into the interior, perfectly stitched and discreet. No over-the-top logos or loud-mouthed luxe, here—it’s all about ‘if you know, you know’. And, if you know us, you’ll know quiet, sophisticated luxury is right up Luxe Digital’s street.
Finished with a suede-laced chain strap, a la Chanel Classic Bag, the pretty vibes just keep on coming. I love the contrast of gold-toned hardware against the delicate suede—it gives my clutch (and my look) a nice edge, and combats sugar-sweet overkill.
Of course, it pairs flawlessly with my Emmy London shoes. My favorites are the Lulu flats, Claudia Court shoes, and the Josie Mid Block Heel. And guess what? Kate Middleton owns multiple pairs of the Josies. So, if you want to step into a real princess’s shoes, I highly recommend you head to Emmy London. Like, ASAP.
Colors & variants: A rainbow of refinement at your fingertips
I love the Suede Blush, but there’s a spectrum of options available to suit your unique style. The Navy Suede with its icy-shine silver hardware is next on my wishlist—however, you can select clutches in subtle shades like Cinder or a bright, statement Cupcake, whatever suits your mood.
Functionality: The any-occasion plus one
Day to night is the game plan with the Natasha Clutch—carry it by hand for those glitzy evening events, or sling it over your shoulder for a more laidback look. Its subtlety shines yet again when it comes to styling, too; this bag doesn’t dominate my look, but rather works to add the finishing touch to my outfit. A perfect piece of arm candy, it has accompanied me through wedding celebrations, cocktail parties, and business brunches alike.
I love that I can keep the detachable chain strap on when two hands are necessary (like, for juggling champagne and canapés), or whip it off and go all-out clutch for a winsome, Buckingham Palace garden party vibe.
Bear in mind you can’t adjust the strap length—so, no crossbody for us. That said, I found the strap fits comfortably and flatters my outfits. However, you might want something longer if you’re going to layer it over coats and sweatshirts.
Made for days (and nights) with less lugging, I’ve got space for my essentials. I stashed 10 credit cards and business cards in the small pocket, still easily closing the zipper. No bulk, no worries. I can pop a few notes and coins in there without issue, too. The main compartment has space for my good-time essentials; my phone (iPhone 12 Pro Max), keys, lipstick, and cardholder all have a home here. Anyway, a lighter bag = a lighter step, am I right? Simply pop it shut with the secure magnetic popper, and you’re on your way.
Care & maintenance: I can’t lie—it needs a little extra TLC
I love suede as much (if not more) than the next person. But I can’t lie—it needs a little extra TLC. Despite its addictive softness, suede is a magnet for dust and susceptible to staining.
The lighter shades of suede can be a little tougher to keep in pristine condition, as it can absorb color from your denim jeans or your midnight-black LBD. So, you need to be a little careful.
This suede has a super fine nap, so I need to be extra careful when cleaning. I’ve got a suede eraser and cleaning block at home so I can gently buff away any scuff marks—this works wonders in prolonging the lifespan of my bag.
Price: This clutch is a thousand things, but budget isn’t one of them
At $510, it’s not an impulse buy. Indeed, it’s an investment: the luxe feel and timeless design ensures it’s never going out of fashion, and it’ll evolve with your sartorial senses as they ebb and flow.
Regardless, it’s still firmly within the 3-digit territory—so in fact, if you’re already accustomed to your Saint Laurents and Chanels, it’ll seem like a good value, especially considering the high quality.
Who is it best for
The Emmy London Natasha Clutch is for the woman who values effortless beauty, and quality over quantity. It’s a perfect quiet luxury clutch that will get a lot of airtime in your future ensembles.
