Collectors on the hunt for rides with celebrity ties should head to the Silverstone Festival next month.

Iconic Auctioneers is offering up five cars and bikes with celebrity provenance during a weekend sale at Silverstone Circuit that is running from August 23 to 25.

Leading the charge is Jeremy Clarkson’s 1992 Ford Escort RS Cosworth (pictured top). The small-engined rarity is one of just three pre-production prototypes that reportedly cost the Blue Oval over £250,000 to build. Ford loaned the four-wheeler to the Top Gear star for a year so that he could evaluate it. It was subsequently featured in Top Gear magazine and appeared on the Clarkson’s Car Years TV series. Sporting a Mallard Green exterior and a Raven Hide interior, the Escort is in “superb condition,” according to the auction house. It retains many original details such as the factory sealant and the Ford Motor Company registration. As such, the lot is estimated to fetch between £65,000 and £75,000 (roughly $83,600 and $96,500).

Up next is a stunning 1990 Mercedes-Benz 500SL (R129) that was delivered new to Stirling Moss. The late British racer, who both raced and collected Mercedes in his time, opted for an Astral Silver exterior and Royal Blue leather interior. He also registered the convertible with his famous “7 SM” plate in November 1990. (It has since changed hands and has a new registration.) All of Sir Sterling’s requirements are documented in a history file that is included in the sale. The car also comes with a soft top, a hard top, and a copy of the Great Drives in the Lakes and Dales book in which it is featured. To top it off, the dial shows only 63,724 miles. The Merc is expected to hammer down for between £35,000 and £40,000 (about $45,000 and $51,400).

The auction will also include not one but two of Paul Hollywood’s Ducatis. The first is a rare 1199 Superleggera. Launched in 2014, the “superlight” (or superleggera in Italian) bike was limited to just 500 examples, which all sold out before production commenced. The Great British Bake Off judge snapped up his in 2014 and has kept it in good nick. With only 2,996 miles on the odometer, the two-wheeler is set to sell for between £35,000 and £40,000 ($45,000 and $51,400).

Hollywood’s second motorcycle is a 1299 Superleggera. Unveiled in 2017, the 1299 was even lighter than its predecessor thanks to a carbon-fiber frame. All 500 units were once again sold out before production commenced, rendering such examples exceedingly rare. This one is expected to realize between £40,000 and £45,000 ($51,400 to $57,100).
