The post-pandemic landscape has meant that when it comes to arranging your work schedule, words such as “hybrid,” “remote,” and “flexi” have all come into their own.
Of course, if you want to take working remotely to an extreme, what better place to dial in than a superyacht? While yachts pride themselves as sanctuaries of escape, they can also be platforms to harness focus and keep on top of working life, with ever-changing sea views, enabling more extended vacation periods to be had.
Superyachts are redesigning the traditional office setup, and these floating offices have everything from cutting-edge technology and high-speed connectivity to luxe furnishings to take long calls and panoramic views conducive to important business meetings—or you can simply stare out the window at marine life or cloudscapes between tasks.

‘Come Together’
Image Credit: Winch Design Amels onboarded the designer Espen Oino to pen the 197-foot Come Together, which was featured at the 2022 Monaco Yacht Show. For the interior, Winch Design was called upon. The contemporary and beachy interiors evoke a sense of serenity, with a hint of masculinity, in the office area, which is part of the owner’s suite. To enable a seamless transition from work to entertainment, the coffee table has a pop-up TV screen.

‘Dream’

Perfect for hosting those larger charter parties, the yacht has 22 luxury suites and amenities that cater to everyone. The business center includes several desks and video conferencing systems as well as a large table for meetings. As one of the larger charter yachts on the market, Dream is an ideal base for larger corporate events.

‘Quasar’

The first benefits from the private office on the main deck, with a desk that soaks in the ocean views. With work and play in mind, this 150-foot Bilgin yacht has been designed for the purpose of meetings and work, but with a comfortable couch that can be transformed into a space for watching movies and playing games.

‘Sea Owl’

The dedicated office is located in the master stateroom. Dark oaks and crimson infuse the design details, complete with an exquisite centerpiece of a custom replica of an 18th-century French desk. Working onboard here can transport you to a bygone era, with intricate world maps adorning the office ceiling. There is even a secret door leading to a day head.

‘Excellence’

Combining luxury materials with marble, tan leather, and maple creates a luxurious but calming space for onboard work commitments. Winch Design was responsible for the interiors, which gleaned inspiration from the owners’ extensive car collection; the Cadillac leather seats and curved desk are a nod to luxurious car seats and dashboards. The Abeking and Rasmussen yacht lives up to its name, allowing for onboard relaxation after any busy workday, found in the large beach club and main deck swimming pool.

Project X

The fully equipped office is spacious, with enough room for group meetings and screens for conference calls for those who cannot make it onboard. Located on the upper deck, the office benefits from forward-facing views. Meanwhile, the Starlink connection ensures connectivity is never an issue. The office also features an electric fireplace for that cozy work-at-yacht vibe. Adjacent to the primary office is a supplementary workspace; this smaller office is perfect if guests have a larger entourage or a personal assistant that needs to buckle down.

This timeless-styled yacht is now for sale and ready for a new owner to enjoy the panoramic views from this ocean penthouse.
