Winch Design’s latest superyacht concept is a seafarer’s dream.

The 262-footer, which is part of Oceanco’s Simply Custom series, was inspired by the profound beauty of daydreams and features every amenity one could, well, dream of. The newcomer has been fittingly christened Reverie as a nod to the state of dreamy meditation.

In reality, the vessel showcases an array of smooth, sweeping lines that create a simple, elegant silhouette. The open-plan layout seamlessly blends the interior living spaces with the exterior decks, creating a sense of flow throughout and ensuring guests can easily access all areas.

Reverie also takes design cues from nature. The smoothness and fluidity of stones and pebbles are reflected in the streamlined shapes onboard, for example. The yacht is rooted in sustainability, too, with the decorative timber elements crafted from eco-friendly woods such as maple and tesumo.

“It’s the simple references that leave lasting impressions and form the foundation of strong, pure concepts; this embodies the Winch approach,” Jim Dixon, the studio’s yacht and aviation director, said in a statement.

The highlight of the design is the three-deck beach and wellness area. The epic space sees an expansive lower deck spa and gym lead to a pool, bar, and swim platform on the aft deck and a semi-enclosed pool lounge on the main deck. Reverie also sports a spa on the foredeck and the upper deck for good measure.

In terms of accommodation, the owner can choose either a forward suite with a serene pool terrace or an aft suite with a private lounge. Guests will be comfortably accommodated in large suites and have access to a dedicated lounge on the forward upper deck.

As for performance, Simply Custom yachts will be powered by a hybrid diesel-electric propulsion system capable of running on low-carbon biofuels. Furthermore, the vessels will be equipped with variable speed generators, a highly optimized stabilization system, and podded drives that increase efficiency and smoothness on the seas.

Construction should be a dream, too. For the Simply Custom range, Oceanco asked 17 designers to put their stamp on a proven platform. As such, owners can get a semi-custom yacht with the Dutch yard’s pedigree. The build process is also faster and less complex than that of a fully custom cruiser.

A seafarer’s dream, indeed.
